Every time the world growls at me
The woman in my bed pounces
Like a panther in the night
She takes no time to sever my jugular
And I die over and over and over again
On the jungle floor
The weakest are first to go
She has a sense born into her instinct
And knows when to hide downwind
to strike at the most opportune time
Ensuring maximum impact
And a sure kill
How feeble you must believe me to be
And how naive you expect my response
I will not play dead for long
You ought to know this but you pretend
Not to expect the unexpected
Cross my line and cross my heart
You will not enjoy a feast of me
You will endure hunger and then
Nothing more
